Who we are
RST Accountants Ltd is a general accountancy practice in Levenshulme, south Manchester, founded in July 2021 and led by Tashfeen Rafiq, AFA, MIPA, ATA, a member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), membership number 299843. We look after limited companies, sole traders and landlords across Manchester and the surrounding boroughs, and we run payroll as a core service rather than an add-on.
What we are actually good at
Most firms are set up for clients who arrive with a tidy bookkeeping file. Ours mostly do not. They arrive with a year of bank statements, a folder of platform remittances, and a bag of receipts, and they need someone who will take that seriously rather than send them away to “get it into Xero first”.
So we built for that. We have our own tools for reading statements and remittance documents and turning them into books, which is why we can take genuinely messy records and still quote a fixed price at all, when most firms either turn that work away or price it by the hour and surprise you at the end. What you get from it is a number agreed before we start and a date we commit to - not the cheapest quote in Manchester.
How we work
- A fixed price, agreed in writing, before anything starts. It does not move.
- A date we commit to, and an immediate call if anything threatens it.
- Nothing is filed until you have approved it. Not at HMRC, not at Companies House.
- Plain English. You should finish the conversation knowing what your numbers mean, not just holding a PDF.
You can actually come in
A private hire driver, a takeaway owner and a care worker cannot easily get to an accountant between ten and six on a Tuesday. So we do not treat the office hours as the limit. Ask for a Saturday appointment and we will open up for it — and if a weekday evening works better, say so.
That is the part an online-only firm cannot do. When something has gone wrong with your tax, sitting across a desk from the person handling it is worth more than a support ticket.
